I wish they would show a physical pic of the difference between the old version and new. There was no way i could understand which one i needed and i ordered the wrong one :(

Please Note:

Power buttons are not universal — different models use different versions.

G2 (2017) uses a unique power button that won’t work with Hobbywing ESCs.
-
G3, G3 Plus, and Zealot (made before June 2020) used a larger button with an extra cable for light control.
-
Since June 2020, all models (include Ranger X5 and Ranger X6) use a smaller, updated button.
- G2 Black 2023 and later, G2z, Zealot V, ERA 5, G5, G5s, Zealot S2, X, S3 and X2 are using the updated power button.

Minus having to replace power button (which was super easy), this board is a dream. Got it in middle of July, it’s December 13, and I have 1118 miles on the board so far. Love it!
Why would backfire put this much adhesive down in this hard to reach spot?!?! I have to replace the power button and this is what I find when I open my ESC?!?! That added an extra hour and a half to process. Thanks backfire.
Inadertently went through a puddle and ended up recking my battery. But at the time since I got voltage on iut thought it was the ESC or switch. Ordered a switch first- no dice. Ordered and ESC- still no dice then ordered a new battery of higher capacity (for a lil' more range) and then it worked. I ended up keeping the new ESC & switch and replaced them since the board performed smoother with the new ESC. It was expensive but cheaper than an entire new board. Shout out to Jerry for being so helpful in helping me trouble shoot and thanks again for the replacement diagnostic cable.

Easy to replace and worked fine.
I ordered two items (Motor bearing Cover with 6905 bearing for version 3, Power button & cable) and only the motor cover bearing arrived. I contacted backfire customer service and they are sending me the power cable. I'm not happy with the mistake but backfire comes on top as always.

I’ve had my mini for 5 months and noticed the original power button stopped lighting up within a few weeks of owning the board. Eventually, the button stopped working completely, and I could only power on the board when it was plugged into its power cable. I replaced the button & carefully sealed around the nut with silicone caulk to help prevent water from entering inside. It’s been a week and still working like original 👍🏼
Its worked perfect for the board and we haven't had any problems since install of part. We are back on road and enjoying every ride.

I had to play 16€ for ''import'' even though i paid like 50€ in shipping for a 10€ product
Did not fix the board when button was replaced. My board died out of nowhere when riding and it hasn't charged or turned back on since. No clue what the problem is but this should never have happened so randomly. Now I'm stuck without a board to ride all summer.

Worked to fix my friend's board.
my 2x ranger was 3 years old when the power button quit turning the board off. had to pull 6 bolts out to unplug it, but it still worked grate. replaced the $10 button, did not help. Purchased a new 32kv ESC, now it works like new.15 miles range easy at 11 mph on economy mode, 3-4 hr charge. 9-mile range on sport mode with turbo option at 21 mph. Think my son will get this board soon when I get a new X3. YES, I WANT ONE! My one wheel has hurt me every time that I bounce and lose my stance on the board whereas I can bounce over any Monkey nuts with ease on my backfire X2 ranger without slowing down. And I'm 56 Thank the Makers!

Great service, arrived promptly and installed. All working fine now.
Hit a high speed bump..Power button broke….backfire maybe needs to consider placement on ESC. Difficult to replace because of all the glue. Accidentally cut another wire when removing glue. Had to soldier it to fix. All in working order now. Back on the road. Huge thank you for the extra button. Will come in handy if this happens again. Love to the Backfire crew!!
Support was helpful diagnosing and helping me figure out that my battery still worked and that I only needed a power button, once ordered and it arrived i was able to get my board running again!
