The board doesn't seem to loose performance until 0% battery life. I gave this board a 4 star because water can easily enter and DAMAGE your battery. Both ports seem to open from t...view morehe vibration when riding letting in water and moisture to seep into the electrical components. Perfect combination of comfort, power, weight and range!!!
I highly recommend the G3. For most of my life Mnt Bikes have been my choice to get around. Hitting the trails and flying over anything in my way or a long urban assault ride in to...view morewn.
Road bikes never pleased me because they are so delicate and you feel limited sesrching for smoother roads. This board makes those limitations disappear. The fun factor is off the chart.
The speed and torque will not disappoint. My first board was the Pheonix Ryder Siren and I got borred with it after 3 months and 200 miles. My grandson rides it now when we take road trips averaging 12 miles. He is light enough so the Sirens battery sag isnt a problem. Im 189 lbs pushing 200 with backpack and heavy coat during the winter months and the G3 doesnt care!
The wheel sleeves are still in perfect condition even after riding rough roads and hitting plenty of rocks and cracks on the road. The wheel sleeves on the Siren started showing signs of wear on the first ride and they cant be replaced without buying new hub motors and going through the trouble of replacing them.
My only advice it to buy spare wheel bearings for the front wheels to swap them out after a few hundred miles. Clean and lube your old ones to have ready for the next 200-300 mile swap.
The rear motor bearings will need service in time. Im sure the Backfire tech team can help if your not the type to work on your own board. They have excellent response time and will be glad to help.
I know because I had questions about the bearings and they didnt waste time responding. During the holidays too.
You will not be dissapointed in the G3 and riding it will be on your mind everyday!!!
I ride it 10 miles to the grocery store every Saturday morning while traffic is low and that isnt the closest store to my house.
The freedom you feel while carving the road on a good deck is indescribable even if its a trip to the store.
I can only imagine what its like to ride the X3 all terrain board. Its next on my list of must haves!!! view less
Just 5 stars. I can fly by everyone in traffic and can keep up with cars at 25 mph speed limit zones. I got it 545 During their Blackfriday/Christmas sale and I couldn't be happier. My remote stopped working one day and Backfire replaced it no questions asked.
If I get more money I will most likely buy the Ranger X3 as I love doing business with Backfire. Get a G3 you will not regret it. view less
My first electric skateboard, and I'm in love with it
The speed and stability of this board is amazing. I've pushed 26mph (44kph) with loose trucks and felt in control. The board's ability to climb hills is pretty astounding to me; it...view more's taken me up long, steep hills at decent speeds. Braking is good, though not terribly strong if you're speeding--you just have to brake in advance. Battery life seems to be plenty; I've never run the board to 0%, though on trips with many hills and lots of turbo riding the battery holds on. And finally, carrying this board around isn't too bad. I could hold it in one hand for 10 minutes walking around in a grocery store fine, you just have to hold it with a death grip. The G3 is lots of fun for when I just want to cruise around town, and really helpful for making commutes. And you can't beat the price for this type of quality! view less
I had never ridden a board before and it was easy to learn and reliable to improve my skills!
