I had the board and it worked well, but then not even at 1000 miles it just blew up. I contacted backfire but they have not been helpful at all and I looks like I just burnt $600. Not impressed with longevity or customer support. Go with meepo, my friend has one and has not had any problems at with it.

This is my first electric skateboard and so far it has been amazing. I almost have 100 miles on it already. I did have an issue with the screws missing from the folding handle I purchased with my board but customer service took care of that and shipped them out right after I talked to them. Super smooth ride w stock wheels. Can't wait to ride the cloud wheels. Board is a quick machine. Gets up to 30 quick. Lights and power and functions. This thing is amazing. Never been more happy with a purchase. This has to be the best riding board ive ever ridden in 30yrs. Impressive. Actually rode to work 14 miles. 28 miles in a day on a board. Kicked my butt. Impressive range. Way more than my calves could go.

I really do like this board and you can tell this thing is made with love but I do have a couple complaints. First being I can’t even charge the board without having a cooling fan on the block at all times: this is what my picture is of. In a matter of 10 minutes without the cooling fan the block is on fire literally too hot to touch. So that’s complaint number 1. Number 2 is I’ve ridden this baby maybe 7 times and I never even gotten close to 25 miles before low battery the most I’ve gotten was 11-12 and that’s not even full throttle like she’s so fun to ride but you take her out on 2 quick rides and she’s now only 2 bars which means I need to turn the cooling fan on and recharge her before a fire breaks out to give me a smooth 12 miles before undergoing a never ending loop. I’m not sure if maybe the battery I have for the board has a malfunction but any response or thoughts would be nice and appreciated due to the fact that I spent close to 800 on it but please understand that I know this board could is solid for that price if it runs properly.My heart was pounding when I was putting in my information to order I was so excited so know that this thing is still my sweetheart I just want to know if these things are normal with it!

this board is crazy, i have the zealot and it has been through everything including full down pour rainstorms (wouldnt suggest it though still lol). i have roughly 1000 miles on it and it still runs smoothly. my only suggestion is just get the zealot s. my board has a crack in it and i thought about replacing the deck with the plastic one, but then a guy ran over my board and i got plastic deck anywas, and it has been perfect. great deck, great speed, great look, and very reliable/ durable.

What can I say, this is probably the best board available at this price point, it delivers everything as advertised, it’s durable and reliable, rides great, is fast, (faster that most people are comfortable with) ok, yes, I did regear mine to go past the 30mph mark and have gone 34mph (just to say I could) and it still climbs hills and accelerates great (I will say that anything above 30mph is a little unstable and terrifying) so I see why the gearing is set the way that it is. My average riding speed is between 15 an 20 mph so the way it came right out of the box is more than enough in my opinion. But if you must go for that speed run this board is capable of more.

So far I've been about 25 miles on these 1
05mm purple cloud wheels and I like them alot. Honestly I only got about 10 miles on the stock 96mm wheels before I installed the clouds, so I can't speak much on my experience between the two. I knew I wanted them when I purchased the Zealot S a week before. I went with purple to match the boards color. There are other colors if purple doesn't do it for you.

Did tons of research before getting my first esk8 and I'm so glad I went with the zealot s! I haven't had this much fun since I last had a motorcycle! Has great acceleration and breaking and so fun to ride! I only wish it got more range with cloudwheels, I get about 12 miles with what I'd say hard riding (turbo mode most ride, 20+mph) weighing about 165lb.

Purchased the Zealot S and the cloud 105s , received them in two days. Very impressed with the quality of this board. Smooth ride with the Cloud wheels and plenty fast enough!!!
The only issue I had was one of the rear wheels had only one bearing. Contacted tech support and warranty. They sent me two bearings and two spacers, recieved them in two days.

This board has been nothing but helpful with getting to classes (or far away from them) quickly, as I am located in a hilly area and walking to and from locations becomes a chore. With this board, especially its different speed modes, I'm able to cut off 15 minutes from any trip I take.

I own an auto shop and one of my younger techs rides a Zealot to work everyday. The curiosity got the best of me and I bought a Zealot S, strictly because I'm a fan of the color purple ;-) There is a small learning curve, but I can't get enough. After 4 months, my Zealot S cracked and during a cruise The board cracked in half and I fell off going 20 miles an hour. Very unsafe and not made to last long.

put about 200 miles on my long board and it has been a little iffy here and there. first 10-15 miles are perfect no problems! had a few times it would disconnect while I was riding, which is pretty scary when you are going about 25+ MPH. at about the 205 mile mark I noticed it would not get to the max speed for the mode that I am in. so I lifted the board up and only one wheel spins until you turn the board on and off a few times. both wheels will spin for maybe a mile then i lose the same wheel again. it really was a solid board at the beginning! I use this to go to and from work , about 6.5 miles a day for reference

Solid built board. Started with E-Mode to get used to it. Quickly went to Sport Mode. This board flies and handles amazing. Two of my coworkers ordered within a few days. Definitely wondered why I waited so long to get this board. Would highly recommend the Zealot S to anyone looking for a high performance board at a decent price. I bought the warranty and saved the box. Hoping I don’t need to use it, but glad I have peace of mind for this purchase. Next I will upgrade to Cloud wheels to give them a try but the stock wheels are working better than expected.

I love the zealot S! Did a lot of research on which board would suite me best and all the reviews I looked at pointed me towards the zealot. I tried my friends backfire G2 and it was really nice but the belt system really gave it more acceleration. I love the look of the overall board with the purple LED under glow. Riding the board is very comfortable and has a good flex rating. For the price that you pay for you cannot go wrong with the zealot S

Great board, first ever esk8 and so far I’m loving it. Good range, torque, and feels stable at high speeds. Would recommend for anyone that is looking into buying a esk8. Only thing is I wish the deck was an inch or two wider, my shoe sise is 9.5US and it feels good, but I could use a little more room for my liking. For anyone that has sise 11US or bigger, you may possibly find the deck to be little small. (That’s what I’m guessing) Other then that, overall what a great board. Very happy!

I gave 3 stars because my new zealot s is a 20 minute drive from me and ups won't deliver for 3 more days! The 5 to 7 day shipping might be possible if backfire didn't use ups. Such a bummer. Please stop using UPS! Somehow third party companies are able to track UPS shipments better than UPS can! I really hope I can change this review IF it actually comes. Maybe I'm bitter because I have already waited over a month and a half and these last few days are adding insult to
injury.
Tldr; I feel sad because backfire uses a shipping company that can't meet the 5 to 7 days shipping estimate. More like 13 to 14 days

I got my board a week ago today, and already have put 106 miles on it! (I might have an addiction). I use it to commute 8 miles to work and just to have fun, and it performs amazing. I can tackle hills and go from 0-29mph within seconds! Money well spent! When I have more cash I am thinking about buying the hammer.

Love this board! I use it to commute in-between the bus in Los Angeles and around my city. It gets me to where I need to go stably and reliably. At 6'1 and 170 pounds, I max out at 24 mph in sport mode and 29 mph in turbo mode. This board is a life saver, time saver, and great fun!
