Bought this before Memorial day weekend. I'm in my 60's so I just use it as neighborhood transport. Been riding it most every day, to work, run the dogs, to CVS, get mail, etc. No problems. I ride in both modes but mostly use economy when its 5 miles or less.
Rode 11 miles in sport mode and battery wasn't drained. I want to turn tighter so I have loosened the trucks! It does wide turns.
Just what I needed at a great entry price. Got the warrantee also so I am not worried. If I was rich, I'd get the 105 soft wheels kit.

Very fast and came rideable out of the box. I got a fancy remote and some protective knee and elbow pads as well as some wrist guards. One week in and I have 75 miles, I can go about 17 miles on one charge. Great product

The only thing I don’t like is the hard wheels because they already broke and they don’t make air wheels I don’t think for these if you do make them for the G2, I would love a set considering. I had just purchased it about two weeks ago, and the wheels are broke already. Every little crack those things are hard hitting every time but overall this thing is amazing

So I've had the g2 for about a week now and the wheel on one side is going out! I can't believe it! I don't even ride it hard I just take it to work and back I can't believe it! Im so bummed I just can't believe it! The remote is also barely working because I can barely get it to turn on and off! Depending on how the help me out (if they decide to help me that is) I'll change my rating but for now I'm extremely dissatisfied with my board. :(

This G2 was my entry into electric boards, and the price point was good enough for me to pull the trigger. I have to take a train on occasion to a nearby city for work (sometimes overnight), and there is a bike path the makes the 4 mile connection to my house. This board is able to get me there faster than driving, and is easy peasy to get it on and off the Amtrak.
I’m a bit older (nearly 40) and haven’t long boarded since I was a teenager. So I was a bit nervous, but with a little reintroduction and how easy the controls were I was sure footed in no time. The ability to break is what I was missing, and with the range and speed I can get around town no problem.
I upgraded with the cloud wheels as I live on a dirt road, and I can manage to get out to the pavement easy enough. At my weight (about 180 lbs) and those wheels, I get about 9 miles on a full charge of the 187 WH battery over slightly hilly terrain. I did upgrade that to the 216 WH to eek out a bit more range, but have yet to give it a full test.
Helmet is a must, be smart!
All in all, happiest and most fun purchase I’ve made in a long time. Very happy with the quality and detail that has gone into such a bargain board.

This board is solid by all means! Especially for just being your entry level board. I'm pretty certain i just got 14 mile range out of it on eco mode occasionally popping it in sport. It is an amazing daily commuter for the price and I rate it 5 stars based on the range and speed I get for the price. Obviously the battery could always be better and that would only make this thing more amazing.

It's a lot of fun and I really enjoy the electric skateboard. It's the first one I've had and it's like 4 ft tall so when I hold it it's kinda heavy, but I've managed to build up enough strength for these past two weeks to hold it up with one hand for half an hour at a time.
It's a great purchase and if it's your first, I would definitely recommend.

It's a great board and I really like it! There's no cons to it that I have experienced except for slight vibrations if on poorly paved roads. If you haven't yet, try sitting on the board and go fast! It feels like a car! I will definitely will buy another from backfire again if needed.

I purchased the G2 black for my son's 12th birthday. It was a last-minute purchase and customer service was very responsive and helpful in getting this to arrive on a Friday when I ordered on a Tuesday. The 2 speed settings are great for first learners although after day 2, he is already up to 17Mph:). I was originally worried that my son may be too young for this type of board, but I am so happy I decided to purchase. He has even created his own custom headlights until he can save up enough money to get the real ones. Well worth the money, would highly recommend (and don't forget the safety gear).

MODIFIED AF! It didn’t need the mods. I wanted to make this my board right out of the gate. The front truck is a BEAR truck. Waterborne plate extender. Gorilla medium knuckles. Bumpers. New grip tape. I’m 189# with shoes and clothes. I havent done a speed test yet but without trying I have hit 22.5mph and get 10.2 miles on one charge with minimal climbing (300-400ft) optiks210 night provision lights. Daily commute to the crunch fitness 6.8miles round trip. With good amount of climbing and down hills.

Honestly it’s been a lifesaver around campus, only downside is that it’s pretty heavy but that’s a given, get a lot of attention and compliments from people when you’re carving on the board, only thing I’d change is the end of the board to be slanted upwards so it’s easier to pick up and flip instead of it being flat

My first board & definitely won’t be my last. After reading reviews and watching review videos I decided to make the purchase. Work is about a 6 mile round trip commute. I get back home with 2 bars left. So it’s still got some juice left after 6 miles. I got ballsy and hit full throttle. GPS clocked me in at 23.75 mph , but with no helmet or protective gear , it was quick. I’m more than sure I can go 24 maybe more. Going up some steep hills with no problem either. I’m 170 lbs and it gets me zipping by. Super quick shipping time & I had contacted customer service before I bought it and they helped me with questions very quickly before I even bought it . So that’s also something that made me feel better about This purchase. It’s been a month. I’ve only hit 35 miles on the odo. Can’t wait for 500 miles !

So far, I have nothing but great things to say about this board. I bought it because I have a 1/2 mile walk from my parking lot to my workplace, and I wanted to make that walk a little more fun. This board definitely solved that problem.
One of the reasons I chose this board was because I needed it to go up a pretty significant hill. This board smokes that hill at 16 MPH.

Brought it on vacation by the lake. So lake road commuting is ideal. I've noticed becoming very picky of my road surfaces (not much I can do about that) I guess I may need to pick up another board with rough terrain in mind. Over all I love it. I enjoy the board, i have had a previous board to this one which broke but the company went out of business, compared to my old genesis board its a lot nicer, i will say new bushings is definately an extra purchace u should make after buying one, i think this board will stay in one piece but there is like 20 percent of me that isnt trusting it for some reason, it rattles a little more then i would want it to. But besides that its a great board you can definately hit 20+mph on mostly flat ground, and so far my milage seems like i get maybe 8 miles on full charge when using the fast mode.

I bought this board to get around town, since I dont have a car at the moment and it has been so helpful. The speed settings are perfect and the board is super easy amd fun to use. My roads are kind of rough, which results in a little bit of a rougher ride, but I'm hoping to get some donut wheels to help reduce that issue. All in all, its a great board that lasts awhile in a single charge. Would definitely recommend

Just reached 170 miles ride this back and forth to work everyday it’s fast, long lasting, charges fast the only problem I would have is when your riding if its not newly paved roads the board vibrates your feet so much after a week of riding u get use to it but it still a pain when it comes to riding

The board shipped & was received within 5 business days. It's been less than a week and I've already put about 40 miles on it. It rides super smooth, the wheels are massive and very comfortable at speed, "2" more has some torque to it so I like to start off with "1" until I am warmed up then switch. I love this thing! 25mph is the fastest I've gone and it is smooth (when riding on smooth roads of course, I avoid bumpy/cracked roads). The board is well worth the price and the quality is top notch. The flex is nice, I was worried the board would be stiff but it is just right. It is HEAVY! 20lbs to be exact. Be ready to carry that when not riding. One suggestion to new buyers - upgrade your grip tape as the grip is small grain and more akin to skateboard grip, at least for my taste. Two sheets of vicious griptape will last years with this board! I'm excited to continue putting miles on it. Things to avoid while riding: cracks/sidewalks/potholes/bumps/water/gravel/sand. The brake will throw you off if you slam it so be smooth when braking as well as accelerating! Looking forward to hitting 100 miles, then 1000 miles, and more! I would recommend this electric longboard to anybody who is familiar with longboards and is wanting to get into electric. It is a smooth transition from my old regular trusty longboard to the G2. Super excited to ride all the smooth roads I can!

The board is awesome and easy to ride. I'm a 62 year old "kid" who has wanted one for years. My wife keeps telling me I'm going to kill myself but the brake makes this easier to ride than my regular long board. Tested boards at the Outdoor show that were 3 times the price, and I don't find any difference with the G2. Highly recommend it.

Pros; Smooth turning and good turning radius, stable board, good speed and braking.
Cons; battery doesn’t last 10 miles as advertised. Maybe a solid 7-8 miles. If you keep it on the lower speed setting and try to coast as much as you can.
Overall i would give it a solid 6/10 seeing how i paid almost $650 to get it up here. I would really like the range to be the full 10 miles for $650

The only thing is after a few rides the trucks come loose on it and so you have to tighten it. But overall it’s been amazing and I will definitely be coming back soon to buy a more expensive one!

I'm noob to the skateboard in general. I live in Newport, NJ. Delivery was painless i just use the board for daily commute to train station and then to office as well as to go to groceries, friends house and just roaming purpose. First what i did was brought all protective gadgets since i never drove the skateboard and tried a friends longboard(non electric) few months before buying electric it was very fun experience and had just one injury till now i could have avoided the one injury too my fault i went in high speed within a week :( Used only first gear for first two weeks and switched to second gear never looked back

The Backfire G2 is a great entry-level board. It travels the 11-12 mile distance that Backfire advertises, and its top speed of 24 mph is more than enough for a beginner like myself. I also appreciate the tools that come with the board since they allow me to maintain and tinker with the board as needed. The G2 is definitely well worth the money.

Great board!!! Never rode a long board before. I knew how to snowboard. Great alternative for some summer carving. Easy to ride. Takes a few rides to dial in the board. Simple adjustments for your personal preference. Weigh 180lbs board cruises about 23 mph on nice pavement all day.
